A Compliant, Community-Integrated Operation
Our joint venture is established under the laws of Papua New Guinea and Australia, bringing together traditional landowners of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB) and MorFuels Pty Ltd to conduct regulated, small-scale gold mining and mineral processing. Gold is currently extracted by hand from the initial clay pit at approximately 105 grams per tonne - materially above typical mined grades.
The operation is run with due regard for environmental protection, land rehabilitation and worker safety. Tailings are converted into handmade bricks through a village-based initiative, and the venture supports the local community with utilities such as power, sanitation and roads. It sits alongside MorFuels' Queensland moringa biorefinery as a tangible, hard-asset resources arm.

A Registered Mining Entity
Gunnado Mining Limited is registered with the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) and maintained as an Approved Small-Scale Mining Operation, confirming its legal standing to operate in Bougainville and to enter into the joint venture with MorFuels Pty Ltd. Under the 2021 Alluvial Mining Policy, alluvial mining is reserved for customary landowners and citizens - the basis for a legitimate landowner joint venture.
From Hand-Dug Pits to a 5-Tonne-per-Day Plant
Gold is recovered from soft, near-surface clay using simple gravity-based methods, keeping capital and operating costs low. Processing plant and machinery owned by MorFuels is already positioned on site, ready to support scaled production.

The alluvial site
Near-surface, water-worked ground on the 120-acre site near Arawa, Bougainville, where gold has naturally concentrated in soft gravels and clay - worked by hand alongside the local community.

The clay pit
Gold extracted by hand from the near-surface clay pit using simple gravity-based methods, keeping capital and operating costs low.

Gold recovered on site
Alluvial gold concentrate recovered by hand panning - visible gold particles confirming the nature of the resource, ready for refining to 999.9 purity.
Deposit Highlights
High grade
Approximately 105 grams of gold per tonne of clay, materially above typical mined grades.
Near surface
Gold is hosted in soft, near-surface clay, allowing low-cost hand extraction.
Large footprint
A 120-acre landholding provides significant scale and a long operating life.
Established team
A local workforce already extracts gold, with landowner relationships in place.
Simple processing
Gravity-based recovery from clay keeps capital and operating costs low.
Room to grow
Only a fraction of the site is being worked; capital funds mechanisation and scale.
A Proven Gold-Fertile Arc
The clay-pit deposit sits near Arawa on coastal alluvial fans draining the Crown Prince Range - the same island-arc magmatic belt that hosts the nearby Panguna porphyry copper-gold system. A 2024 peer-reviewed study (Lithosphere, GEOMAR / University of Ottawa) confirmed Bougainville sits within a >800 km permissive copper-gold tract. Gold weathered from these mineralised highlands naturally concentrates in the downstream clay - a textbook setting for alluvial gold accumulation.
Panguna is cited purely as regional geological context. Our clay pit is a distinct, independent alluvial operation and is not connected to, nor a continuation of, the historic Panguna mine. Prospectivity does not by itself establish scale - confirming a measured resource requires systematic sampling and assay programmes.
The Scale of Gold in the Ground
At approximately 105 grams per tonne, a mined thickness of 7 metres across the full 120-acre site implies on the order of 570 tonnes of contained gold in-situ - an extraordinary figure that underlines the upside.
Indicative, in-situ exploration-stage estimate for illustration only. This is NOT a JORC-compliant Mineral Resource or Ore Reserve and assumes uniform grade and depth, which real deposits never exhibit. Actual recoverable metal depends on drilling, bulk sampling, mine planning and processing recovery.
Ways to Participate
Gold Promissory Note
A volume-limited, compliance-gated instrument. Approved note holders advance a principal sum today and are repaid at maturity in refined, hallmarked 999.9 bullion - receiving more gold than spot would buy, with the uplift growing over the term. Every note is backed by physical gold from the operation. Full terms are provided to approved participants.
Compliant Gold Supply
Gold recovered from the operation is refined to 999.9 purity and made available to approved buyers for domestic sale and export - priced at prevailing market rates with prompt monthly settlement, subject to all applicable laws and export regulations.
Refined Gold, Vaulted & Gold-Backing Bitz
All gold recovered is refined to 999.9 purity and held in certified, independently audited bullion storage. These allocated reserves back Bitz, a fully gold-backed stablecoin - so every token is underpinned by a tangible, physical gold entitlement rather than an unbacked promise.
